Developmental Disabilities Professional Day - July 15th

A bunch of words arranged in the shape of a heart, celebrating Developmental Disability Professionals Day

Communitas is a nonprofit that provides Direct Support Professional assistance in Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, and Port Orchard for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Did you know that July 15th is the 2nd annual Developmental Disabilities Professional Day?  It’s a day to recognize everybody that has a hand in the assistance, enhancement, teaching, and empowerment of those who have disabilities.  Case Managers, Direct Support Professionals, Financing Departments, Volunteers, and everybody in-between; we thank you so much for your help with those in need.  We appreciate that you have found your passion in helping others, and it is SO IMPORTANT that you’re recognized as the incredibly invaluable professionals that you are.

You all stepped up during the COVID-19 pandemic, doing your best to ensure the safety of those we care for and those around you stayed as safe as possible by wearing your masks in their homes, and when out in public with our clients.

You’re all incredibly resilient, and an important mainstay of our communities.  You’re all incredibly tenacious, and we thank you for your continued involvement with all of our amazing clients.

Thank you:
