Communitas is a nonprofit that provides Direct Support Professional assistance in Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, and Port Orchard for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Did you know that there are multiple disabled people within the Star Wars canon? There are some prominent ones, two of which being Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker (both had hands chopped off and were fitted with robotic hands).

There is also Kanan Jarrus from the animated Star Wars: Rebels. His story as a disabled person is much more fleshed out compared with others. Kanan Jarrus learns to accept his blindness after being blinded during a lightsaber duel.
