Migraine and Headache Awareness Month - Hemiplegic Migraines
Communitas is a nonprofit that provides Direct Support Professional assistance in Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, and Port Orchard for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
In continued recognition of Migraine and Headache Awareness Month, today we’re highlighting Hemiplegic Migraines. Hemiplegic Migraines are a rare form of migraine. People with this type of migraine typically experience weakness on one side of the body, in addition to the other symptoms of their normal migraine. That weakness that they experience is a form of migraine aura. Please beware that this is an extremely rare type of migraine, and that if you ever develop weakness in any part of your body, seek immediate medical attention for proper diagnosis.
