June 21st is Global Day

Communitas is a nonprofit that provides Direct Support Professional assistance in Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, and Port Orchard for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Global Day is a day to recognize ALS/MND.  Motor Neuron Disease (MND) is a group of diseases where nerve cells that control muscles undergo degeneration and die.  Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Progressive Muscular Atrophy (PMA), Progressive Bulbar Palsy (PBP) and Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) are all subtypes of motor neuron disease.
